Dr. Vanessa Anderson
Dr. Anderson graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1990, after attending Western Michigan University for undergraduate studies. While at Palmer, the premier chiropractic college in the world, Dr. Anderson was the secretary of Student Council, Campus Guide Vice President, a rep for the International Chiropractic Association and a member of the Academic review committee.
After Graduating from Palmer, Dr. Anderson joined Moline Chiropractic Clinic where she practiced for 8 years before establishing Discover Chiropractic in 1998. Health, wellness and fitness are very important to Dr. Anderson and her family and she is proud that she comes from an extended family of 10 chiropractors.
Dedicated to continuing education, she keeps abreast of the field¡¦s research innovations, as well as attending post graduate seminars in advanced chiropractic adjusting and diagnostic procedures, orthopedics, radiology, physiology and nutrition. Dr Anderson has training in sports medicine, exercise rehabilitation, wellness care, pregnancy and pediatrics.
Dr. Vanessa is an avid horse enthusiast; she has been riding and showing quarter horses since she was 7 years old. An active member of the American Quarter Horse Breeders Association she has raised 80 foals, that have gone to over 25 states and have went on to win many championships. Now she has two horses Casey and Ace along with her cat Ginnie and her dog Abby. Dr. Anderson also enjoys art, hiking, photography, snorkeling and seeing new places around the world.
Diane Johnson

Diane graduated from Palmer College¡¦s Chiropractic Technology program in 1994 with a license in chiropractic radiology. While attending the Technology program she was secretary of the Curriculum Committee, secretary for her Technology class, and a member of the Veteran¡¦s Association at Palmer College. She graduated with awards for Academic Excellence and Clinical Excellence. Diane stays informed with current information in the chiropractic, insurance and radiology fields through seminars and continuing education which enhances the patient care aspect within the office setting.
Although Diane grew up under chiropractic care, she became interested in the field after her brother became a paraplegic in an auto accident and she received conflicting information from the neurologists on his case. Because of this she feels patient education is an important aspect of patient care. She enjoys the one on one contact she has with patients throughout their chiropractic experience. Diane has enjoyed working with Dr. Anderson since 1994. ļ Diane has two daughters, Tiffany who lives in Plano, TX and Lisa, a junior in high school who keeps her on her toes.
Shirley Wenskunas
Chiropractic Insurance Specialist
Shirley has 20 years of experience in the Insurance, coding and customer service fields of Chiropractic and Medical , with many years of seminars, classes and certificates, keeping updated on the most productive information for the patient¡¦s benefit. Shirley has had the pleasure of working with Dr. Anderson in Chiropractic for over 10 years.
Shirley resides in Coal Valley with her husband Thomas. They moved back to the Quad City area last year, after 10 years in the state of Tennessee. The enjoyment and blessing of being close to their children and grandchildren are their lives. Shirley is a die-hard Illini and Chicago Bear fan, as well as the biggest fan of her grandchildren¡¦s sports activities.
Amber Spring

Amber graduated from Brown Mackie College in June 2006 with a Medical Assistant Diploma. While attending school, she worked at a Chiropractic/Acupuncture Clinic as a Chiropractic Assist and she developed great interest in chiropractic care. After graduating, she accepted a full time position as a Chiropractic Assistant where she performed Insight Millennium Scans on Surface Electromyography (SEMG Scan) and Muscle Balance (Symmetry), office tours, application of Kinesio tape, prepared patients treatment plans, developed patient x-rays, controlled patient flow and provided instruction for patient rehabilitation. She completed an advanced online training course in Rehabilitation and Therapies, which Certified her as a Chiropractic Assistant given by Palmer College of Chiropractic. Amber loves to be involved in each patients progress towards better health!
Amber is continuing her education at The Institute of Therapeutic Massage and Wellness, where she is studying to become a License Massage Therapist. She is performing community service hours and clinical massages until she graduates in July. Amber is also taking their Spa Certification courses as well as continue to attend seminars on chiropractic care. She finds that education if very important and that you can always take that with you, thats why she believes patient education is very important and makes a huge difference in life long care.
At Discover Chiropractic, Amber works the front and back office, including checking patients in and out of the office, scheduling appointments and calling patients to remind them of their upcoming appointments. She also performs therapies such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound and traction . Amber is also the Office Marketer in which she organizes office promotions, upcoming events and does the advertising.
Amber and David live together in their first home in Moline, IL. In her spare time, Amber likes to spend time with her family, shop and hang out with friends. She also enjoys dinning out, organizing get-togethers, spending time outside, and loves cheering for the Fighting Illiini and St. Louis Cardinals. Amber is very energetic, likes to have a lot of fun and is always taking on new challenges!!!
Megan Shoemaker
Licensed Massage Therapy
Megan graduated from the Institute of Therapeutic Massage & Wellness in 2003 with a license in Massage Therapy. Megan stays informed with current information in massage therapy techniques and policies through seminars and continuing education. She has received certificates for: Trigger Points for Headaches, Prenatal Massage, and Massage for Young Children. She also has received certification as an Aquatics Instructor through the Arthritis Foundation.
Meagan has worked as a Massage Therapist through Discover Chiropratic for 3 years, and is assisting with the Healthy Life classes where she will use her knowledge and education in Nutrition. She enjoys spending time with her family; staging, organizing and decorating homes.
Destiny Clevenger
Licensed Massage Therapist
Destiny graduated from the massage therapy program at Blackhawk College in Moline in August 2006. She passed her boards with high marks in every category and got her license for the state of Illinios. She has been a massage therapist at Discover Chiropractic since October 2007 and loves every moment of it. She enjoys getting to know the clients and discovering more about the human anatomy as she continues. She is skilled in Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy, Infant and Sports Massage.
Destiny has a younger brother and is very active in his life. He plays foot,ball, baseball, basketball and soccer. She enjoys going to his games and spending time helping him practic. He was the one who sparked her interest in sports massage. In the rest of her free time, destiny loves to watch movies, walk by the river, and spend time with her friends and family. She loves going for motorcycle rides and going for hikes along the trails and lookout views of Palisades Park in Savannah. Destiny is a big Chicago Bears fan and loves watching their games, she also is a fan of the Quad City Flames and the Quad City River Bandits.
Denise Berry-Gipe

Denise graduated from The Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in Tucson, Az in 1998 with a License in Massage Therapy. In 2006, she completed training at Black Hawk College and received her license as a Practical Nurse. Denise is also a certified Infant Massage Instructor and holds certificates in Hot Stone Massage, Core Zero Balancing and Reiki Level 2.
Denise was born and raised in Moline, Il. She moved to Tucson in 1987 and after completing the massage program she gained massage experience working at Fitness Centers, Spas, Resorts and Doctors offices. She also returned to The Desert Institue as a Massage Instructor. Denise moved back to the Quad Cities in 2003 and has been with Dr. Anderson for 3 years. She has a special interest in therapies that assist the body in detoxifying.
